GT1000 Pro Temperature Flow

GT 1000 Pro Temperature
Here you will be given a few different examples of how you can use a GT1000 Pro for temperature measurements, as well as connecting to our relay units - so different things can be done if the conditions are right.

Device Setup

If you are here, we expect you to have already created an account and connected your device. If you haven't done this, you can click on guide or on register

If you need to name various outputs from your device, you can do so by clicking on the device under devices

Log

Personally, I like to see logs so I can go back in the data and possibly make an overview of the year and see when and how often an incident happens. To create a log, we need to go to logs and create a new one at the bottom of the button and name it.

You can create all the logs you need if you want to do some SoC (Separation of Concern). For example, you might want to log when the water is too high in a log so that it is separate. This way we can create a log for e.g. the device's status on different things, such as powersignal and last_update.

Dashboard

This requires us to briefly open our Dashboard Page. We want to be able to see the status of e.g. water condition, if power is on, signal worthy and last_update. Here you can decide for yourself what you want - a dashboard isn't a necessity, but it's a nice thing to have from time to time.

  1. Tap on the edit up in the top right corner.
  2. Click on the number 2 icon on the right side. This should give you a "My Widget"
  3. Then click on the cog - then give your widget a name e.g. "Power".
  4. Select a Variable If you don't have a variable, you can simply create one by pressing "Create New" and naming it. I would advise creating a "system" for how you name it if you need it for something bigger or expect a lot of variables.
  5. Once this is done, press the cross in the top right column.
  6. After that Saves in the top right corner.

If you want to see a log in your Dashboard, it's the third last icon - then just select which log you want to show.  Read more about Dashboard here

Flow

In this section, format number, delay and logs are not a necessity - these are commonly used but may not be necessary in your case. You can read more about the different nodes and see what suits you best.

  1. Inside the flow, open Devices and drag the device's "IN" out.
  2. We need a Format Number, Previous Value, Greater than, Less than node.
  3. Temp must be dragged into format and format further to Input 1 and to Current.
  4. Then we take a Is Equal, OR Gate and 2 Delay Nodes.
  5. Subtract Output from Previous Value into Input 1 on Is Equal, Output from Format Number must go into Input 2 on the same node. Then the Output from Greater and Lesser the nodes into our OR Gate. Then drag Equal and our Gate into the Delay nodes - You can read more about our Delay node here
  6. Delay the node we pull into a Pulse node and then into a OR Gate and on to a log. On the log node we can create a variable e.g. {temp} whereby you can drag a value to the node so that it is written in the log.

Then your flow should be up and running.
